The City of Pleasant Hill and the Pleasant Hill School District invest in turf at the Pleasant Hill Recreation Complex.

The City of Pleasant Hill and the Pleasant Hill School District partnered to jointly fund improvements to the North Baseball Field at the Pleasant Hill Recreation Complex.  The North Field not only houses parks and recreation programs but is also home to the Pleasant Hill Roosters Baseball Team.

Improvements to North Field include a turf infield playing surface which extends down the left and right field foul areas, a new scoreboard, installation of an upgraded bullpen area, relocation of home plate, dugout improvements, and left field fence improvements.  The field will also feature Pleasant Hill High School logos.

The School District is serving as the project lead and secured all contracts for the work.  The City has allowed the school district full control of the North Field through project completion, slated for the Spring 2021 baseball season.

“We’re very excited about the North Field project in collaboration with the School District.  This is likely one of the biggest collaborations between our two entities.  We both share the commitment to the best utilization of funds and facilities for our taxpayers.  The school district has done a great job on this project and I look forward to seeing teams play on this surface in 2021,” said City Administrator Shelby Teufel.
