Pleasant Hill is a charter city governed by a Mayor and four-member City Council with a full-time City Administrator. Elected Councilmembers serve two years in length. The terms are staggered and expire every two years. Each of the three precincts are represented by one Councilmember along with one Councilperson-At-Large.
